Hi, please help me in what to do! I have tried everything nothing worked!

-I applied to sponsor my husband in November 2017
- he finally got his visa after 16 months of waiting (February 2019)
- he gave his passport and so and he booked his ticket on April 6, 2019
- He lives in Iraq, so he went few days before his flight to Turkey so he can get a direct flight to Canada
- He was not allowed boarding in the 6th and the airline re booked him the next day without him asking or paying any extra fees (we thought its over booking)
- He went the next day April 7th, and the people their bearly speakes English all we could understand that he is not allowed to travel over the USA! Although the flight was coming straight to canda!! And he was informed to book something through Europe. Which he did!
- The next day he went again and was bot issued a bordering pass and told that he should take a direct flight!!
- the next dat after the 3rd flight. On April the 9th he received an email saying his vias is canceled and he should return his passport and the PR documents ge received earlier!! And cases is re opened abd we are back on security again,.

We are so depressed and don’t know what to do, all i hear from my MP office is to wait!! Well i was wating! And my husband application was approved!! What should i do more?! Please help if you where in similar situation, I appreciate it in advance and sorry for the long writing i am really sad!

Very unusual situation. You should order your GCMS notes asap. They will take a month to arrive - but should give you details behind what's happening.

OMG ! I’m deeply sorry for both of you! Are you s Canadian citizen ? If I was in your place I would consider traveling joining him so that at least you will be together! I would also write a letter to IRCC explaining what happens with your husband at the airline also provide the flight tickets, boarding pass, anything that shows that ur husband actually was about to finally land in Canada! Try to consult a lawyer although they are expensive but at least he would guide you through it!
I know how hard things can get! My husband and I applied may2018 and we are still waiting ! Be strong and things will work out at the end

From my limited knowledge of data sharing, I believe the USA probably received information on the individual. APIS data is sent .Even though the flight maybe direct from Europe to Canada, occasionally these flights will skirt US air space, hence, not allowed to fly over the USA, this would be due to 9/11. Once the US received that information, then that information was sent to Canada, and the Visa cancelled, security screening restarted.
Many flights internally will skirt US airspace, example, Calgary-Toronto, will skirt over Michigan, Halifax-Toronto, will go over Maine, Vermont etc. The US will get that information as well. Flights from New York City to the west coast of the USA, will routinely fly over Southern Ontario

See information regarding the APIS program

I was just about to say something similar - but you've explained it much more clearly. I think there's an extremely high chance this was the issue. It's the only thing that makes sense based on the story.

So what would be the best course of action in their case?!

Wait.. There's not much else they can do at this point.
It's possible that IRCC is reviewing the application again on the basis of the refusal to enter US airspace.
They may be investigating if something was missed or not declared during the original application processing.

Sorry to hear about your case. Did he had any argument with the security in airport in Turkey? That could also be a possibility.

Thanks for your reply, i did orfer the GCMS notes and nothing helpful was thier. They blocked the entire security section. its just unfair how they put our life on hold without any given explanation. I ordered the notes again will receive it 18-20th of August hope to find something helpful. Thanks again for you reply

Security at the airport would not have the authorization to modify or cancel a TRV or PR, that is all internal . If you argue with security at the airport, it is not an incredibly bright thing to do, but they can't cancel a PR, they can however make your stay at the airport "difficult" to say the least

If the security area of the notes was enacted, aka blacked out, means that security received third party information from another source, and you would not be privy to that
Hopefully everything will turn out for the best

Thanks for your kind words Hana, yes i am a Canadian citizen, and it is very unsafe to go back and live in Iraq! My husband life now is in danger after his return! As anything could happen to him, people heard he was going to Canada!! I really appreciate our system and never complained while the application was in process but now its very unfair specially to someone who live in a very unsafe country like Iraq! They just dont know what they’ve done.. and what we are suffering from :(

This is very unfair, people cant choose where to be born at! this issue makeing it our fault to be Iraqi!
Also, i have asked the airline if the direct filght will be passing the US aurway and they confirm to me that is not. And i had my sister to follow the entire trip on their website it never passed over the US
- And same thing happened before booking the Europe flight, ive called frankfurt airport to confirm and they said they don’t fly over the US!
