Background and security in progressing after Imm5669 submitted

Hey guys, please help!

I’m an Express entry applicant(CEC inland ).
AOR date : April 18
Mep passed: May 31
Request for IMM 5669 submission: July 30. (Must submit within 2 days)
Ghost update: August 6

VO: Edmonton

I’m feeling so worried because I just called CIC regarding the ghost update issue. She advised me that my eligibility passed, criminality passed and medical passed. Now they are progressing my background and security check. She said it’s hard to predict the completion time as it’s conducted by 3rd party.

Is this the indicator of security screening? Because I barely see CEC inland applicants were required to submit schedule A(imm5669), the more weried thing is the VO only gave me 2 days to submit the document .

Is it possible to trigger rejection after your eligibility pass and criminality pass?

Please advise. Thanks so much!

Technically, you can be rejected at any time, even at the time of landing in Canada. You can even have your PR taken away if they find out later on that you lied about something. So there's that.

However, in practice, this kind of thing is not common, and asking a question isn't going to lead to them rejecting you.

Unless you are aware of something in your profile that will cause issues, you shouldn't worry about it. You're well within the six-month time frame and your application seems to be processing normally, so don't stress too much.

Many thanks for your kind reply. Since the CIC agent told me my background and security are progressing by 3rd party, then I guess I’m being security screening...
Wow... I was happy yesterday because I got a GU which many people said indicating ppr... now the call conversation dragg me to the hell....

You are misunderstanding. Every background check is done by a third party (CSIS, Canadian Security Intelligence Service). This is normal.

The background check can be quick, or can take ages depending on your background/profile/citizenship etc.

Stop stressing out. There's nothing you can do about it anyway. You'll get your PPR eventually, probably sooner rather than later. But worrying about it will certainly not make it any quicker.

Thanks again for your reply! So it’s a normal process after I submitted my schedule A? My schedule A request letter didn’t say anything specific (such as covering history from 20xx-20xx; include family information etc.) just simply stated I need to complete the form bearing with a signature. Thus, some people told me it was the indication of ss as most of CEC applicants won’t be asked on this document....
I didn’t leave any gaps or missed any information when I submitted my application. Don’t know why CIC asked for imm5669...

In addition, does anyone got GU before they sent to Security screening?

You are giving way too much weight to the so-called "ghost update".

You do realize that all the speculation around what that means is just guessing? Forget what people are telling you, no-one here really knows exactly what and why that happens. It's obviously got something to do with your file moving forward, but only IRCC knows the details, and they're not telling.

I'm going to suggest one last time that you stop worrying, but I see that may not be possible. In any case, good luck. Things will happen when they will happen. You can't do anything about your application now, besides waiting.

@PrayforPR0211 ,

Hope you become PR by now. I'm in similar situation.

How long did it take to get Security stage passed after ADR IMM5669 acknowledged or changed to NA under MyCIC account?

Your response is highly appreciated. Thank you!!!
