I am looking for some advice. I have sent my passport for COPR stamping to CPC-Ottawa and I also have the status turn approve on 20-July-2019. However, the return tracker hasn't been activated yet.
I am worried that my passport have been misplaced. Did anyone experience this before. Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.

You should call them up and confirm if your passport was dispatched or not, should help ease the tension.
Also, are you in Canada, using Canada Post? I've read cases where the passports were delivered the same day trackers were updated!
Canada number - 8 am to 4 pm EST. 613 944 4000. Best to call em early morning. Else wait times could even be 90 minutes

Application approved on 2nd Aug, still waiting for return tracker to be activated.
So, I was too anxious to wait and called CIC. They told me the package was sent out on August 3rd from their office so I believe the return tracker should probably get activated sometime this week. The phone agent asked me to call FedEx and maybe wait 1-2 days. Let's see what happens.
What do you mean they don't have any information? Did they say your passport was sent out?
What do you mean by “send out”?
Once it was sent out the tracker activates. That is my understanding.
So once your passport is sent out from the office it doesnt go to fedex right away. It goes to the mailroom. And from mailroom it is collected by fedex.
Just like when you send the passport it goes to the mailroom and takes 1-2 wks to reach the officer taking care of your file.

I hope it won’t take more than 1 week after approval to send our passports back.
