Congratulations... thats AIP...next step should be COPR....I’d like to get feedbacks/answers for my questions below.
I received a message of “Eligibility Passed” today. Is this what’s called “AIP (Approval In Principal applicant)”?
In the letter, it said “Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks for you.”
Does this mean they’re still processing my background checks? Or the fact my eligibility passed means they have completed my background checks?
What will be the step after passing the eligibility?
I’d appreciate your answers and feedbacks- thank you!
You’re so sweet! Thank you for always nicely replying to me with kindnessCongratulations... thats AIP...next step should be COPR....

I really hope my status will be DM and get an invitation for the landing interview.
By receiving the message from CIC yesterday, I learned that my application had been processed in Vancouver. No wonder it’s been taking forever...I live in Toronto. My friend who applied on December 10th already completed the interview in June. I guess her application was processed in Toronto.
