Hello sir
My name is Rahul Gopinath
I have my 12 grade ( science) and I always wanted to be a Pilot but my dad didn’t liked me being a Pilot he forced me to do bachelors in business Administration and continue with the family business.later even he understood that no use of forcing me so he allowed me to do Pilot training so I applied for Canadian student visa. The visa was not a Student Direct Stream . I have provided enough fund for the studies. Is this because of my degree not related to the course? If yes what can I do in this situation? This was the reason which I received from the visa officers

• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. Can you explain what are all these

• Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of: your level of establishment, language abilities, financial ability and I am not satisfied you are a genuine student and that you will depart Canada at the end of your authorized stay.

It means that the visa officer doesn't believe that you really are a student because of your lack of studies/history/work experience in that field.

In situations like yours, you have to write a strong SoP to convince the officer. What did you write in your SoP?

Also, what are your language abilities and financial profile?

This was my SOP

STATEMENT OF EXPLANATION
Glad to introduce myself as Rahul Gopinath. I have done my Senior Secondary School Examination (12th grade) in 2016 at N.I.O.S and have completed my bachelor’s degree at Amity University in 2016 - 19 batch. My purpose of application for student visa is to do Commercial Pilot License at Select Aviation College in Drummondville, Canada. Being a pilot is my ambition and passion from my childhood itself. Aircrafts always excited me ever since my childhood and I’m always very anxious to study about aircrafts and flying. After the completion of my degree I decided to make my dream come true. Hence, I joined Select Aviation College, Drummondville for the pilot training program.
The ACS commercial air transport pilot program in select aviation college provides in-depth knowledge for me to achieve a career in reputed airlines. If I graduate from this program, it will credit me with an Attestation of College Studies (ACS) certificate as well as a Commercial Pilot License with the Multi Engine, Group 1 Instrument rating and the Multi-Crew Co-operation specialization. (MCC) in order for an airline environment. I will get 200 hours of flight, 65 hours of flight simulator and 730 hours of ground school and exams preparation. It has a lot more theoretical studies than a normal CPL, so this programme is far better than a normal CPL. My overall education goal is to be a commercial pilot in a reputed airline, so I think this programme in select aviation is very apt for me. After completing this programme, I will be able to work as an airline pilot in commercial or private airplanes.
The standard of pilot training overseas will be in a higher grade. The facilities and maintenance of aircraft will be of world class. Training will be given by experienced and competent flight instructors. The CPL training has been integrated with Multi engine training. Instrument flying provided will be of the highest standard. In India students who trained abroad should convert their foreign license to DGCA. The students trained abroad can easily pass the DGCA conversion examination. The training facilities in Canadian flight schools are years ahead in sophistication. The teaching methodology is current with modern equipment’s. The airport infrastructure is definitely better than what is prevalent in India. Even though India is up-grading the airports, it still has a long way to catch up. Also, due to the lack of infrastructure & aircrafts for training and with the shortage of Certified Flight Instructors in India, a pilot aspirant has to endure a training period of almost 3 years. Whereas in canada it is far less than than 3 years. One of the factors for time saving is also the intensity of teaching. Due to the availability of more trained Pilot Instructors, the Trainee to Instructor ratio is high. This translates into personalized and focused training sessions which are highly intensive. Even though there are institutes in India which offer pilot training, the number of these institutes does not meet up the demands of the aviation sector as a whole. Despite the swelling aviation sector, Commercial Pilot Training Institutes in India are in their initial stage. Thus, most of the Indian students aiming to receive Commercial Pilot Training usually go abroad. They seek for quality training from skilled instructors outside India to obtain the Commercial Pilot License. Also,
no flying schools in India provides a programme like The ACS commercial air transport pilot program in select aviation. This is a detailed and high-quality programme, so it will help me to find a job as a pilot in a better way as compared to a normal CPL.
I made a list of all the flying schools in Canada and found select aviation college as the best according to me. Because Select aviation is one of the reputed flying schools in Canada. It has a very diverse student body which will help me to experience the great exposure of studying abroad. Select aviation, Drummondville is a bilingual college, so I will get an opportunity to meet different people from different parts of the world and learn different languages and culture, which will help me to develop as a global citizen.
I choosed Canada because, Canada is one the best countries providing quality education with high academic standards in an affordable price for international students. A Canadian degree or diploma or certificate is globally recognized. Every institution in Canada has its own standards. Canada's educational institutions are wired with modern technologies and amenities which is so helpful for students. Also, the weather in Canada is very apt for completing the training without any hustle. Canada has different weather so a student will get flying experience in different weather, which is also another great benefit.
This Canadian student visa will allow me to pursue my dream of becoming a pilot. Thank You.

Something about this letter feels off. Did you write this yourself or did someone else (an agent?) write it for you?

I didn’t had any gap between my studies, I have completed my 12th grade in 2016 and join Bachelor of Business Administration in 2016 and complete in April 2019. And how do I have a work experience. Everything can be clearly understood by the certificates that I have submitted. But then too why did the mention all of that

You will need to submit IELTS even for Non SDs. Since you have done your schooling from open school, VO is not convinced whether you can handle English as a means of communication. Though for SDS IELTS is recommended, but in your case its a MUST

I wrote it
Something just doesn't sound right. I looked up the website for Select Aviation and the language they use is extremely similar to what you use. In addition, they are a tiny school that happens to offer "Visa Consulting Services" if you are denied a visa.

Select Aviation also gives students housing (via "Drummond Solution", which is run by the same people), and to top it all, they offer students cars! (Again from Drummond Solutions) .. this is all a bit unbelievable.

I'm not saying you're making this up.. but to me this all sounds like Select Aviation is a visa-mill college, and they wrote this letter for you/sent it to you to "edit".

Anyway, if you did do all this yourself, and Select Aviation isn't some sort of scammy school, I apologize in advance. You should order your GCMS notes to see if the IRCC official thought along the same lines. I'm not going to comment any further.

Well, the only option I can suggest you is to get your CAIPS notes and find out what the VO feels about your application .

I know people who were rejected for flight training because they had degrees related to other field.

Does your LOA mention no need of IELTS ?

If it does then VO will not look into it , I applied for my flight training program and the LOA clearly mentioned IELTS isn't needed !
I applied my visa without IELTS !

No they didn’t help me in my sop it was all written by myself, they didn’t forced me to get there accommodation with a car. I was planning to get a local rented room, because it’s much cheaper. What do you say , should I go for the College accommodation and pay the fee to get the receipt in which I can attest to the visa applications will that help ? Or just GIC of 10,000 and first year fees is enough?
