Dear Concerned,
Do we need to have the original hardcopy of WES Evaluation for Express Entry?

And, what is the process of sending WES evaluation copy to Ontario Government under ONIP?

For Express Entry, you need to scan the original and upload that. You don't need to send the physical piece of paper.

Not sure about OINP, someone else can answer that.

For EE , you don't need original at all , in fact you don't need to upload the ECA report into your eAPR, as clearly stated on IRCC website. People here grow a habit of providing extra documentations just to be safe.

What you MUST provide is a correct ECA report number in your eAPR , that is the only way IRCC verify your ECA and no through the original or website copy of the report.

While you are correct that it is mandatory to provide the ECA report number, IRCC does state that you may need to upload a copy as well post ITA. So yes, you do need the original in case you are asked for it.

Perhaps not everyone is asked, but you should most certainly keep the original ready in case it's needed. Your document checklist will tell you if you need to upload it, or they may ask you during the process.

Once you get your report:

  • enter the results and the reference number into your Express Entry profile
  • keep your original documents
  • be ready to upload copies if we invite you to apply for permanent residence
