UK Copr Via Email or Mail?

Hi guys

August 31st outland applicant from the UK with my visa currently being processed in Missisuaga.

I have just changed address and have sent IRCC a message through the webform stating the change of address. My concern is that they will send the COPR this month to the old address...

Does anyone know if the COPR is via mail or email for uk applicants? I have heard UK applicants don't do PPR and simply recieve COPR instead...

Any ideas?

We are UK applicants, got PPR last week. The COPR is a physical document and is issued by post. Have you checked on ECAS to see whether or not the address has updated? On our PPR letter it included an email address to directly notify them of any changes to our situation, including address.

I only sent the change of address last night, i'm guessing you are inland?

Nope, outland! I live in Canada, but husband is currently in the UK. Oh yeah, might be some time before it updates then, but as I said there's an email address with the PPR letter so if it hasn't updated by the time you receive yours, you could give that a try.

So even though he's a uk citizen he had to do ppr and send their passport off? I've seen some people didn't as they are uk citizens.. god its all so confusing haha

Really couldn't tell you! But to answer your other message, yes he's a British citizen. They will ask you to send a photocopy of your passport ID page, a printout of the letter with some forms at the back filled in, and two photos. They asked him to send it to the VO in London, though we were processed at Mississauga. It's somewhat rare to not get PPR though, from what I've seen on here.

Not exactly, as I said in the first portion of the letter they tell you to update them if there's been any changes to your situation. You also have to include a self-addressed envelope with your packet, but I'm not sure how they'd feel if the address you put on the envelope is different from what they have on file, so you'll still want to make sure they have your updated info.

Not really, but you can communicate with the visa office once you get the email and ask for a change of address. They are usually able to accommodate such requests. So don't worry too much.

Also, everyone get a PPR. However, people from visa-exempt countries are asked to send a photocopy of the passport, while people from non-visa exempt countries are asked to send the physical passport.

You may have heard someone say they didn't get a PPR, but what they probably mean is that they didn't have to send their passport - they would have had to send a copy, but many people don't consider that "a passport request".
