Hi,
Is there any way I can convert my application to SDS?
As far as I know, I don't think so... but you might want others opinions as well.

SDS has total different requirements (you need to submit your year of fees, GIC and this can take about 10 days to get ready) and if you're getting enrolled for September 2019 then time is of the essence for you....

I tried to search a forum on this related to your question, but can't seem to find any :/

This is very frustrating,
Got scholarship for September intake but seems like all my effort went in vain. I am not sure u of Calgary defer my semester with scholarship :(.

One cannot avail SDS for funded programs. To start SDS application, one needs to answer the following questions first:

Did you pay first year's tuition fee?
Do you hold a valid GIC?
Do you have an IELTS test report form with 6.0 on each skill?

If one answers no to one of the above questions, they'll be taken to standard application form instead of SDS.

Did you email your faculty and try to ask them if you can defer it.. email them asap to get a response soon since they can take time to reply. Processing times for Pakistan just went up to 9 weeks as of yesterday.... So there's that too

Yes, I have emailed my professor just now. Let's hope he understands my situation well.

One more thing, a strange thing happened today. When I logged into my application the status said application updated although there was nothing new in there but when I logged back after some time the status was again submitted. What was that? A bug I guess

Ya that tends to happen, I had that happen to me once as well and then when I opened it up, there was nothing in there. Once you open it up, it changes back to submitted since that update was read (even though it's just a ghost update/bug).

I think the situation has always been tough since the past 2-3 years. It really depends on your overall profile and if the VO gets satisfied. It's your profile primarily and then a bit of luck as well.
Thank you for the reply. I came to Canada as a student with much weaker profile over all than my brother. I think it's more overall situation than profiles, offcourse unless the profile is too bad.

Anyone you know reapplied and got it more recently?

One of my friend got fully funded scholarship and he was in the same situation as you are in now, his professor accepted him for next intake.

It has been almost two weeks that my status didn't change from eligibility review. Is it alarming or positive?
It took me 3.5 months in getting my approval so it should be ok for now.

I check my application 3 times a day.. I have emailed my professor and expecting a positive reply from him as well.
I am hoping that you would be fine and you would hear something positive from your professor. They are very much flexible here.
