Hi all,

Does anybody know the difference between the two following fields in the Education History Express Entry application form:
- "Level of Education"; and
- "Level of education (Canadian equivalent) shown on Education Credential Assessment (ECA) report Your ECA report will tell you if your foreign education is equal to a completed Canadian degree, diploma or certificate."

I have a Bachelor of Law. The help panel for the "Level of Education" field states that this qualifies as a "Professional Degree". However, WES determined that my Bachelor of Law was the equivalent of a "Bachelor degree (4 years)". So I selected "masters or professional degree" for "Level of Education", but I selected "bachelor" for "Level of education (Canadian equivalent).

Not sure if those two fields should be answered in the same way.

Thanks,

I have the same issue.... my wife's law degree has been evaluated as a Bachelors Degree by WES. My understanding from CiC is that it will be awarded the same points as a Masters, but there is no way of entering this on the profile, so when I submitted it (she is the primary applicant) we were awarded 412 points instead of the 451 we were expecting. There doesn't seem to be any way of 'flagging' in the express entry profile that it's a law degree (and so should be getting the same points as a Masters, despite the WES classification), so I don't really know what to do...
