Hi
I have concern about PGWP and I am confused
I am going start my M.Eng in Chemical Engineering at University of Ottawa in Fall 2019.
I am planning to finish my program in 1 year (3 semesters)
Fall 2019-Winter 2020-Spring/Summer 2020
The University of Ottawa has no regularly scheduled breaks.
I have emailed the international office of University of Ottawa about the official duration of the program and the possible PGWP validaty and they have replied:
"The wording that will be used to describe the duration of your program of study in the letter of completion issued by the University appear will be the same wording that is used to describe the program on the website: 1-2 years. When determining the length of a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), the immigration officer will make a decision based on the letter of completion and the final transcript provided by the University"
Based on your information and possible experience of other M.Eng graduates in the recent years, do you think I will get 3 years PGWP?
Being eligible of granting a 3 years post graduate work permit is very important and vital for me.
Regards
Amir
