Visitor Visa

Currently my status in Canada is Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) and my work permit is expiring on Aug 4, 2019. However, I am already in Express Entry pool under CEC. My points are 439 and as per current draws it will take time to go so low. In the mean time I am also trying to improve my Ielts Score to raise my Points.
However, I cannot stay beyond my work permit expires. Do I have any other options to stay and shall I apply for work permit extension or Visitor visa?

Is it advisable to apply for visitor visa and stay on implied status until my TRV decision is made or I should leave the country and keep trying from back home?
If my TRV is rejected then how many grace days do I get to leave the country?

Please need some suggestion and guidelines.

Thank you,

Thank you,
You will need to show funds (around $12,000) for EE PR if you leave your current job in Canada. But you will need to stop working anyways on August 4 as your permit is expiring. One doesn't need to show funds if they are currently working in Canada.

Your TRV will not be rejected, very slim chances but remember your status will be a visitor if they approve you. TRV processing time is approx 40 days and grace period is 30 days. So you have 70 days minimum regardless of what happens.

Other posters can advice you on work permit extension.

Thank you very much for the comments... One more question
Do I need to show a good reason that they will approve my request.
I am trying to improve my score for IELTS to get the ITA, can I mention that when I apply for TRV?

Thank you,

Thank you,
IMO mention any reason, but deciding factor will be your ability to sustain yourself in Canada, attach last 4 months bank statement or find a relative to sponsor you. TRVs, extensions, are much easier from within Canada.
