Child Sponsorship - Landing with COPR

Hi

I sponsored my child and she got her COPR. We are planning to go to US and return back to Canada to finish her landing. Is only her COPR and her US passport is enough or should I carry something else? Since we are already staying in Canada is there anything that I have to do regarding the goods to follow form? We have all our belongings in Canada. And there is nothing to bring later. Need help on this please!

Yes, all you need is the CoPR and passport.

Congrats. Can you please let me know how long did it took to complete. Or when did you applied for her PR.

I applied on April 8th from Canada. On Jun 3rd we got her COPR & went to Windsor border last week. Niagara border is not accepting landing on weekends

I mailed the application to Nova Scotia. The entire process from mailing documents to COPR took less than 2 months

When we submitted the application, we did not have any application number.how long did you have to wait to get the application number ?did you receive the application number by email or mail ? After how long after getting the application number, did you receive the COPR?Any suggestion is really appreciated.

In most provinces your child can’t apply for a health card unless they have PR or AIP. Even after that you still have a 3 month wait time. Have you not purchased emergency health insurance? You must have been prepared to pay for regular care for up to a year when you decided to have you child outside of Canada. Getting COPR is very variable 3 months is very fast but can also take 10 months. You have to be prepared for both.
