Transaction not approved

Hello,

I made the payment for my temporary visa application. In the end, I received this message:
DECLINED - TRANSACTION NOT APPROVED. Please print this page and keep it as your transaction receipt.
There's no other explanation. I followed the steps exactly and I don't know what to do in this situation, or what I did wrong.

yes, it's a Master card from Romania.

Looks like CIC online only accepts Visa Debit, not Debit Mastercard, from Romania.

• be from a Canadian bank using INTERAC® Online, and
• be registered for online banking through your bank’s website.

In this case, should I restart the whole procedure, on paper? Isn't there another way to finish my online payment and apply? What type of Romanian card would be accepted for this transaction?
Do you know if Visa debit from ING bank is ok?

Same issue here.. i just submitted my application and at the payment section says "DECLINED - TRANSACTION NOT APPROVED".
By the way my card is an american express credit card, and cic recognizes this card.

INTERAC + online banking registration refers only to Canadian debit cards.
Why don't you try the Visa debit from ING bank on your existing online application? It seems to indicate that it should work.

It also says that prepaid credit cards from Romania will be accepted. If there is a way you can buy one just for this purpose, you can use that. Or if you have a friend or relative whose credit card you can borrow and pay back, that will also work.

What country are you from? Then again, I don't think there is a difference. Maybe you will want to check directly with your bank.

Yes, sadly my bank disapproved it because of insufficient funds
Anyways, my application already went through and waiting for updates.
Btw, I am from Philippines.

Yes, my problem is solved. I used a debit VISA from ING which was accepted

Did you read the posts in this thread before you asked this?

Solution: Use an international credit card. If you are and it still failed, contact your bank.

Thanks for reply, i contacted the bank, they said, becouse the website that you are gonna pay do not ask confirmation message that is why the bank do not let transaction . actually i tried different master card debit and visa debit cards so no of this works. i dont know what to do ?

Talk to someone else in the bank who actually knows something. This is an issue with the bank.

Still best to use an international credit card, whether yours or someone else's and just pay them back.

Thank you for your reply again, unfortunately i couldn't find a quick solution from Turkish bank but i could pay it with a friend's Mastercard from Germany.

Im having the same problem with the error code:
911 - Authentication failed. Code:AVC

Im using my credit card with international transaction access enabled. Could anyone please tell me what else is to be done? or if this is an error with the immigration website?
