Yes they change the status after Printing COPR, visa and then update the visa details in the system and change status to approved

My application was approved yesterday. I saw the visa and counterfoils details yesterday through my online GC key account. Today i received an email from CIC that application is updated. When i logged in and checked it was no different from yesterday's status. Anybody faced this before? Passport is still with them. Wondering if we would get this before despatch?

Just wait. It is normal and the same for everyone. Approval comes first,then wait patiently to get your passport back.

When they mean application is approved, it's the PPR email they have sent based on file. Actual approved status will be changed in GC key after visa and COPR has been printed
