PPR today, so happy I could cry. Husband and I have been apart for 3 and a half years, I can't wait for him to move. So grateful for this forum, would have been lost without it! Wishing all March applicants every ounce of luck and positivity, I hope more of us get good news going forward
Your app went through really quickly. Curious why you've been apart so long. Troubles with previous apps?

Hi all,

So they asked for additional proof of communication which i sent on July 12. On July 18, they sent me the medical test instructions and it was conducted today.
Any one knows what is next in the process? My wife is coming to Canada from Iraq.
Thanks

No, I got a job in the US in 2016 and since it was a 2 year contract we decided that he'd stay in the UK and I'd return afterwards. But as it happened, I got offered another job in Canada after that, and we decided to get married last year and submitted our sponsorship application in March. I explained that in our application in case they were also concerned about the fact we hadn't lived together for such a long period of time.

Oh, got it. Happy to hear they weren't fussy about all that time apart. Congrats!

Me too! I thought they might request some additional docs for the time we spent apart, but we did used to live together for 5 years before I moved, and we included lots of Whatsapp messages and all the proof that we had traveled to see each other during that period. So was clearly all good in their eyes. Good luck for your application!

Did you receive an update in ECAS or GCKEY for your PPR?

How did you receive your PPR?
(Email? Or was there an update in ECAS or GCKEY?

My husband got it as an email, he said nothing has updated in GCKEY right now, and there's no new line in ECAS or anything.

Same for us, just an email. I was just curious if that’s normal, since I thought there would be something about it in either ECAS or GCKEY.

I believe that's normal, and you don't see any change to GCKEY until they've actually generated the COPR to send out to you. At that point you will see GCKEY change to "Approved" or something along those lines. ECAS I don't think gets updated anymore at this point.
