Good Day mr omofar, my study visa just got approved but now my parents have decided they'd like to accompany me to school. But it keeps asking them for their inviters address and a letter from the inviter. but i am still in nigeria so what do I do
Congratulations on getting your study permit approved! Well done.

I suggest that you go ahead and put in the application. In place of letter of invitation, let your parents write a letter stating that they wish to accompany you to Canada to help you settle down into your new academic environment, blah-blah-blah. they should sign the letter, scan the letter and your permit as a single pdf and upload it.

Make the best of Canada and make your family and yourself proud.

All the best.

Hello Omofar
Really appreciate what you are doing here. I v not started pursing admission yet but I'm really worried about the things I hear. I want to apply for a diploma course in a college it's a career program for 2 years in a health and wellness department. Left school 11 years ago. Have been doing business, currently 34years. I have a travel history within the space of 9yrs. My husband will be the sponsor. He has a good job with a reputable federal and he won't be travelling with me though will travel with 3 kids. His statement of account plus treasury bill I believe can prove he can sponsor us. Pls I w

Pls I want to know if my chances are high and how I can prove to the Visa officer t
Travelling with 3 kids will seem more like a permanent move than a temporary one to the VO. You need to explain that, otherwise, the VO will fear that you might try to stay afterwards, especially when 3 of your kids are with you already.

Thanks for your response. In other words I shouldn't travel with them yet, secondly, what are my chances of getting a study Visa as per my age

Your age is fine. But as for your intended course, try to see if your course aligns with your current job. From the name of the course, I think it might differ from business. You need to enrol into a program that is in the same field and preferably, same subfield as your current job.
Lastly, I recommend pursuing Masters at a university instead of a diploma at a college.
University students has a much higher chance of visa success compared to college students. Also, with your age, a Masters will seem more suitable compared to a college diploma.

Masters in most Canadian universities are from 2.1. But I have 2.2 in biochemistry. Can a post graduate study be fine? The course I choosed in the college diploma is something that I can do back here in Nigeria when I'm done studying if I dont get a PR so I thought I can use it and convince the VO that I will come back after my studies. It's a spa and skin care program still in the business line.

Hi. Thank you so much for your help. I am a Nigerian that resides permanently in Ghana. Came back to Nigeria for national service. I have a degree in mechanical engineering and I’m 20 years old. I want to study for my masters in Canada but graduated with a 2:2 and so I had to apply for a graduate certificate that will help me be eligible for a masters degree in Canada. I have the admission letter now and I’m about to apply for my visa.
My dad is the managing director of an insurance company in Ghana and my mum is a manager at a bank in Ghana. They can afford to pay my tuition which is about $17,000. I want to know if I will have any issues along the line.
Also, my main career goal is Renewable Endrgy and my graduate Certificate is in practical Elements of Mechanical Engineering which is basically a continuation of what I did in University. Do you think this will be a problem? Lastly, I plan to apply from Ghana and not Nigeria. Would this be a problem?
P.s I am not a Ghanaian citizen and so I studied in Ghana as an international student and I paid about $7000 a year for my under grad.

Greetings!

If you are interested in hearing the truth, and still ready to proceed despite the challenges, you are welcome here. If you want to be pampered, please go elsewhere.

I am here offer advise to anyone who is Nigerian and needs assistance in navigating the dangerous waters of Canadian study permit application. Identify what the problem might be and how to possibly over come them.

It would be better to come here before you apply, rather than after you have applied, it might be too late to assist you then. Also, never rush to put in an application, if you are rejected once, your chances of being rejected a second time increases by about 60-70%.

Looking forward to assisting anyone with question here.

You are welcome.

Cheers

Hello Bellyui,

Thank you for visiting this thread. Your application is relatively new, so I will suggest you relax and wait for the medical request. It would have been in your interest to have done the medical exam before submitting the application. This is their peak season, elites want to go on holiday, students applying for study permits, masses trying to escape the country. Basically more applications, so more time taken to receive feedback.. An outcome of this trend is that many applications will be refused. Simple theory of demand and supply. the more the demand the scarcer the supply. I hope you were able to package your application properly.

I wish you the very best.

Omofar.
