Stop to work asap, you can apply for the visitor visa and remain in Canada while waiting for PR.
I called August 2018 and agent said They need to finish only background check.
Almost in a year they still in background check stage
if you are really in security screening, it means it will take 6 months to 2 years to finish this part, some edge case to 4 years. and it is beyond cic's control. and you can do nothing about it, only wait.
if you do not have problem, it is just a matter of time. you will finally get pr.
my eligibility, crminality , medical all are passed, waiting for security. but they didn't asked me for fingerprints.
Jan 25 applicant. I got the request for replacing a political certificate this morning, and I called the agent who didn’t know why my previous police certificate is not acceptible and also said my medical is not extended. This is my third time to replace the police certificate. Haha.

I am early Feb 2018... probably is in security screening now... sad... so sad... another 1 year or two.. super simple background but in ss ???
