Hi guys,
I have a question from this Relationship Evaluation form. In Part C Question 3 of this form, they have asked if me and my husband (sponsor) are living together now. We are applying through Outland Spousal sponsorship program so isn't it obvious that we are not living together now.. I am so confused i don't know how to answer this question. We have got our Nikkah done but no Ruksati yet. So we are not living together.

Can someone help me as to how i should answer this question? Would really appreciate the help!

Thanks in Advance!

If you're not living together, then that's how you should answer.

They ask this question since it's possible for couples to live outside of the country together if the sponsor is a citizen. Also you can apply outland while both people live in Canada (allows flexibility to leave Canada during the process). Hope this helps :)

Not directly related to your question, but in some culture, you do not considered MARRIED until you have both Nikkah and Ruksati done.

People can apply outland while living together, so there is nothing confusing about it.

Nikkah-only apps are quite often refused. I strongly suggest you complete the ceremonies and Ruksati before applying.

Not having ruksati or walima is a red flag unless you have a very valid reason and you provide a detailed explanation of the same to CIC. My brother went through the same thing. Please DM me i will give you the details.
