I am still waiting for any news. Is it normal to take so much time? I was plannig to travel on 15th July and now I am not sure if I will get visa on time. Anyone knows anything?

Hey! I am having similar issues. Applied on May 23rd, no response till date. Did you try anything that helped get them to expedite?

Here is my file update till today:
June 21st 2019 - Paper application submitted at VFS, India
June 21st- Biometrics done & medical submitted upfront
June 24th - Application received at New delhi visa office
June 28th- Medical & Biometrics updated
June 28th- Review of eligibility started.
June 28th- Background check started

July 8- Additional documents requested
July 16- Review of additional documents started

Lets see how it goes.

Hi Folks, I am new to this forum, but I am really worried because I am pregnant and my mom tourist visa is taking more time than I expected,
My timelines is:
Aplication submited June 18, 2019
Submission Confirmation June 18, 2019
Biometrics Collection Letter June 19, 2019

My mom did her Biometrics VSF Venezuela Caracas June 26, 2019
The cic website updated:
Biometrics:
  • Biometrics Number: ###############
  • Date of Biometrics Enrolment: June 26, 2019
  • Expiry Date: June 26, 2029
But I have not received '' Biometric Correspondence Letter (stating biometric validity of 10 years)''

And there is not more updates, it will be almost one month from the first day of the aplication,

PLEASE HELP, based on your experience, should I call CIC?

What's their purpose of visit ? Do they have any travel history ? One of my friend applied for his parents visa (in karachi,same time period), VO kept their file for 60 days, sent correspondence letter and sent refusal letter shortly (after one day i am guessing). That's how they treat applicants from Pakistan

Hope they will get the visa :)

In addition to calling them you could raise a CSE explaining your situation and request for faster processing. Although, I received the correspondence letter before the CSE reply.

Applied on 5th july with biometric
Corespondence letter on 15th july
After that no reply..
I don’t know how much more time they required.

Applied on 8.6.19 for visitor visa to Canada from India
Biometric done on 15.6.19
Biometric data not received by the responsible office
Filled in IRCC web form on 27.6.19
Visitor acknowledgement letter received on 1.7.19 through email
No progress after that
How much to wait
Processing time for visitor visa to Canada for application filed in Canada online says 6 days as on 7 .7.19 for application filed in on 16.6.19
What's this 6 days

Purpose of visit is to Visit my family in Canada. My father had been to US a couple of times, but it was 15 yrs ago.
