That is very similar to mine. So you were stuck in Sydney for a while too. Hope London visa office does not go over 12 months.

File transferred to London yesterday. Email received by sponsor.
No email to principal applicant. No AOR 2 yet.

Just a quick question, I am the principal applicant, my husband (the sponsor) received an email for file transfer to London visa office on 2nd July. I have personally not received any correspondence from the visa office since. However, on ECAS, it says that the application started processing on 05 July. Should I be expecting any correspondence in regards to the file transfer or not?

I am a sponser I also received the email while my wife did not. My understanding is requests for information go to the sponser and you both correspond between eachother as nesessary. Of course I could be wrong.

No however I've also heard that can take 2 to 3 days

Did you try reaching out to CIC customer care?
I spoke to two different people today and a got a confirmation that my file has moved to Missisauga during the month of May. I was also told that my application has cleared the eligibility test.None of these information was reflected on my GCkey nor my ECAS.
I wasn't able to login my GCkey ,whereas while logging to my ECAS I see an update "We started processing your application on July 18, 2019.".
I am not sure what this indicates.

Just wait couple of dates after receiving email about file transfer and it should show up on ecas: we start processing your application on ...... date...
