Hello Folks,
Kindly share your experience, which applicants received faster PR, applicants within Canada, India or applicants reside in USA ?
If applicant goes back to their home country or visit USA for 6 months or so (as visitor), Should I inform CIC in the middle of the processing or not ?

It's very clear that Maternity EI can be included in the income for the calculation. Let's see if anyone here can give you a first hand conformation.

Hello, i got request letter for my mom on July 12. Still waiting the same for my father. What does mean this request letter? Passport to send? What if she has a canadian visitor visa to come to Canada? Is she still needs to send the passport?

Hello Folks

I need your advice regarding the situation I am right now in, This is regarding my mother sponsorship case from Pakistan, She received a medical letter and also for police certificate along with another form (provide travelling history).

My mother is over 83 yrs old and during medical, she went through some issues, two of her test didn't go through successfully
1) She was unable to provide Urine in the medical center
2) She was asked to provide phlegm that due to her age she was unable to comply with the procedure

The medical center said, they are forwarding the information to immigration and the next instruction or decision comes from immigration.

Is anyone going through a similar situation and what will be our action before or after any decision

can we go another medical by ourself again and forward the results to them or just wait for any response from immigration.

Thanks
Qaiser

Hi Sponsor Friends from 2018,

Short answer is, Yes, I got approved. I was on paternity leave and my parents already got PR.

You can find the answer on "Income Sources for PGP" form. It states that EI payments "other than special benefits" must be reported. That's because "special benefits" under Employment Insurance Act includes pregnancy and parental benefits. Those special benefits are NOT considered government support; hence, they count as part of your income.

Here is the link to Employment Insurance Act and click on "Special Benefits" https://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/E-5.6/page-7.html#h-216150

Hello Members, I have one quick question about Medical Exam of parents. Can anyone who had experienced the IME recently for PGP help me to explain that what kind of exam is done in India for IME?
My parents are in India (Punjab) and have some stable medical conditions. I am wondering if those will possess any risk to their PR file? If someone can share the type of consultation , exams and tests done during parents's IME?
A typical medical exam involves chest X-ray and general health check. If the applicants have a history of medical conditions, then there could be more specialist appointments to check on those conditions.

Having a medical condition is NOT a cause for rejection. It has to meet certain conditions for reach that decision such as danger to public health, danger to public safety or excessive demand on public health or social services. Have a read on "inadmissibility on medical grounds" https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/inadmissibility/reasons/medical-inadmissibility.html

You cannot go for another exam on your own. You must wait for instructions from your regional medical office. They will most likely redo the tests. A lot of people got into the situation you are in. So, don't worry about it too much.

Hi folks,
My parents are already in Canada on Super visa. They haven't got the PCC request yet, but should we apply for PCC beforehand at the BLS Vancouver? The consulate general of India Vancouver website says that they don't issue the PCC to visitors? Has anyone got their parent's PCC done from Vancouver?

Thanks

Hi, my sponsorship was approved february 8th and my application was transferred to the visa office in Accra, Ghana. It has been 5 months and I have not heard anything from Accra. They have not requested medical or police check yet. My cic and ecas status remains unchanged. I called CIC and they just told me to keep waiting. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

Hello, i got request letter for my mom on July 12. Still waiting the same for my father. What does mean this request letter? Passport to send? What if she has a canadian visitor visa to come to Canada? Is she still needs to send the passport?
Is your mom the main applicant? If she is, you do not need to wait for the 2nd letter. The letter is sent to the main applicant and gives instructions on what documents need to be sent (passports, photos, updated forms (if required)) for the main applicant and all dependents. If your parents have visitor visas, they still need to send their passports as immigrant visas will be issued for them. Just follow the instructions in the letter.
