Yup I agree, it is indeed strange. I have never been able to access ECAS with either mine or my parents UCI/receipt number etc. I called to confirmed they received the application. On Jun 21st i got request to resubmit IMM5669 which was submitted on Jun 23 and called again because there was no confirmation. Agent confirmed my IMM5669 was received and added to my file. I asked why i am not able to access ECAS and was told there are few people like this and they are working on fixing IT, whatever that IT means!!! I still have a temporary file number, but it is frustrating as I cannot see my file online and calling them means waiting 30 min and then too not much help as they cannot change anything from their end. Now the hope if next week will hear something as it reaches 30 days mark after the document request. Fingers crossed.

as a last resort, i also emailed the CPC Missisauaga office (request for additional documents came from here and send to the same address) asking if there is anyway for me to access my Ecas as I am worried I might miss on some updates send to me.
TRY THIS
Usee your temporary file number without the 'X' to log in , and put in your information (DOB, COUNTRY, family name) on ECAS. I am pretty sure if you are already receiving doc request, your application is no longer at the prospect stage.

Based on our tracker, it seems like they stopped processing new cases after the large amount of AORs issued on July 11. Does this mean that they are going to finish the SA for the application prior to May 15 and then start a new batch of the next 20 days' application? I really want to link my file so that I can at least know where my application is. :(

Please help me with this question.

I sent the additional document request via fax as they only gave me 2 options in the request - 1) Via regular mail or 2) for faster processing via fax

Is there anyone in the group who has used Fax to send the documents requested?
Any idea how long it takes for them to acknowledge the documents we sent via Fax

I read the guide 5772 but I really skipped the part for that particular form.

Such important info should be visible in guide 5772 and other income related topic, not just mentioned in an “optional form”. Even do a full website search you can hardly find it mentioned on CIC website. (Yes, only on one form for another category and op561, but do you think that’s what a general public should do?)

I can recall someone mentioned even CIC call Centre agent told him regular EI counts, and the twitter response also mentioned that we look at line 150 of your NOA. That’s it.

I just wanna say that my files haven’t not been processed so the updated documents I just sent with a Xpresspost might still be merged into my original application since I have legit reason to update my file (new addition to my family). But for those people who might be rejected because of this kind of obscure info it’s very unfair.

Don't you think, people need to read income eligibility requirements carefully because your app can be accepted or rejected based on income. hey, nothing against you or people who don't read guides, just my opinion.
Good luck!! Hopefully, your app gets accepted.

I don’t think I missed anything. I received the confirmation of acceptance on July 11 and online tool says they started processing it on July 3.
I think people here are generalizing the process based on 1% of applications and really ignoring the other 99%. Let’s see what happens.

I applied for my grandmother in PGP 2019. Can I apply for her work permit once we get the official AOR? Not that I want her to work but some of you that may ask me why would i like to do that is because I want to get her SIN and then file taxes next year considering her my dependent in order to save some money on taxes. I have anyways declared her my dependent under the PGP application so I do not think that being a problem.
well the answer no.

It's still a good trend. If you look at the tracker you will see they are now processing the files received upto around May 13th. These people saw their ecas, was able to link their file, got AoR, boi, medical and pcc in some cases. We can expect they will start working with the next batch this week onward.

Only for Quebec applicant: IME and PCC request will take more time.

Ones undertaking application will approve after SA letter MIDI will issue CSQ and fwd to CIC result to continue process with IME and PCC.

We dont have any timeline how long it will take to complete undertaking application and issue CSQ.
