Hello Seniors, please advice.... I got my Police Certificate on April 28, however, I was unable to submit my application until May 18. My AOR is May 19 but my PC is only valid for 3 months. My PC validity ended July 28 and I'm yet to receive a decision. Is it necessary to contact CIC to find out if I should send a fresh PC or should I just go ahead and get a new PC and upload it?

Your documents must be valid at the time of your application submission. Since your PCC was valid when you received the AOR, you are fine.

HI MyCroft,

I have the same concern. I have a PCC that was issued in April (3 months validity) but we submitted AOR only in June so expiry is this July.

I know that as long the PCC was valid during the AOR submission it would be fine, however in your case, were you asked by CIC for a new PCC upon expiry or not?

Please advise. Thanks.

I see. How about for example our Work visa validity here in the UAE is 2 years . Ours expire this coming August so my company usually does the renewal automatically. Once we received the work visa do we still need to inform CIC or no need since again we submitted a valid UAE work visa at the time of AOR?

I don't think you have to inform CIC since all documents were valid at time of submission. You'll only have to inform them if your status or family configuration has changed but since it's the same, there's no need for that. They most likely will request for supporting documents if they need one.
