Dear friends!
I'm planning to travel to asia country in this August 21 and i just realized that my PR card will be expired in August first while ticket is already booked. I'm so stressful with my situation like this and i don't really know what should i do? I've check online about expired PR card, but then to renew it will take so long, and i can't wait that long to get it before i leave Canada.
My question is if i can still going while my pr card will be expired before i travel? or is there any documents to carry with me so i can go and come back Canada?
Does anyone had this experiences before? Please share and help me to find out what i should do.
I really appreciate it !

Nothing stopping you from travelling there, only coming back. You can apply for a PRTD to return or enter through a US land border if you have a US visa.

i'm going for a month, august 21 i'm leaving and coming back september 22.
Do you think they let me go when my pr card is expired in august 1 ? i don't have time to renew because it's gonna be 3 months at least, i have an important thing to do there and i can't miss it, if its not important, then i can stay and wait until i get my new pr card.
As i saw that i can apply for PRTD from outside canada, which is vietnam where i'm going to.

PR cards are currently being renewed in 16 days, according to https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/check-processing-times.html

However, that's not a guarantee so it's not worth it if you're flying in 18 days.

A month should be more than enough time to get a PRTD. You've met your Residency Obligations, right? Then, apply for a PRTD as soon as you arrive in Vietnam. Check the process here - https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/new-immigrants/pr-travel-document.html

Make sure you have thoroughly understood how to apply, and you have all the necessary documents ready before you leave Canada.

I've been in Canada since june 2014, i booked the ticket and then i just realized that my pr card will be expired in august 1. I'm driving myself crazy and i'm panic too because i don't know what to do. I really appreciate everybody from this forum for giving me advice and guide me what to do. I gotta send an email to visa office in vietnam to ask everything before i arrive there and then i can start applying. Paperwork is never be easy :(

There's no need to panic. You have met your RO, you have a right to come back to Canada.

A PRTD is a very easy thing to get if you have met your RO. Just read the link I provided, it has all the information you need. It's a very straightforward application.
