Is there need of Reapply for CAQ?

Hi everyone,
I would like to know, that do i need to reapply for CAQ again? I got CAQ for Winter 2018 semester in October 2017. For the delay in visa I had to defer my admission to summer 2018. I have got my study permit yesterday 08/08/2018.
I am now confused should i apply for CAQ again?
In the CAQ letter, It is written that if you postponed your admission from Winter to Fall Semester, then you will need to reapply for CAQ. I am very confused at this moment because I have 25 days remaining to join my Semester.
Is there anyone faced similar case like I am facing now? Your early and kind response would be much appreciated.

PS: I know CAQ is valid for 48 months.

Hi,

If you obtain a CAQ for studies for the fall semester and you postpone your arrival by one semester, you do not have to submit a new application for a CAQ for studies. For any other postponement, you must submit a new application for a CAQ for studies

You can probably enter Canada with this CAQ but you need to apply for a new one for registration.

Could you please tell me that to whom I can confirm that whether I can enter Canada (Quebec) with previous CAQ or not? Although I have applied for new CAQ but I am worried that In case I don't get new CAQ in time. For your information, Fall 2018 Semester will start from Sept 04, 2018. My friend had exactly the same condition and she recently entered Canada with no problem. You can have a proof in hand that you have applied for a new CAQ in case they ask for it. I don't think the officers at POE even know that you had to apply for a new CAQ. They just want to see a valid CAQ and you visa and they will issue your stud permit and let you in.

Hi there, I have a caq from March 2018 to 2020 Jan and doing my studies in a college. Earlier I wanted to chnge my college and applied for a new caq in June 2018 and studying in the same college from March . I did not get my new caq due to documents request.
Now I don’t want to change my college. Whether it would affect my previous caq???

Hey, did you provide a letter of explanation along with your second CAQ application describing why you are applying for a new CAQ even though you already have a valid CAQ? A response will be much appreciated.

I think you can enter Canada with that one but you might need to re-apply for registering at the University.

Hello Everyone,

I was planning to pursue my study in Winter 2020. However, I received my CAQ very late in December 2019. When I went to the visa office, they told me that the study permit will have a long processing time. As a result, I failed to catch the first day of classes, and planned to make deferral to the next term. So, I am interested to know whether I issue a new CAQ or not. If so, what are the required documents to issue the new one ? . Thank for help in advance.

Hi, I am in a similar situation too. I have a CAQ for January intake but I have deferred to the fall intake. And i recently found out that I won't have to re-apply for a Study Permit Approval letter (i learned that I can take show my Approval Letter and my new Letter of Acceptance at the border and they will stamp the Visa according to the new dates) but I will have to re-apply for CAQ?
I am confused. Does this mean I will have to re-apply for CAQ but can use the same Study Permit Approval Letter?
