Hello everyone
I have a question regarding express entry as i am going to apply for it . I appeared for Ielts but the band requirement is too high and i am again preparing for the exam.
Just a quick question can i go for LMIA and get the desired points as i have 2 yrs of experience in my job but still i am afraid whether i can get bands more next time or not ..

I got 6-6-6 in reading, writing and speaking and 7 in listening .moreover the CRS SCORE with these bands and 2 yr experience is 424 and i need to get 450 atleast for PR .
Can anyone suggest me something ?
Thanks

You can't "go for an LMIA" yourself. The LMIA application is done by an employer, not an employee and it takes a few months + $1,000.

If you are already working for a Canadian company in Canada, you can certainly try asking your employer to apply for an LMIA and give you a job offer for at least one year. If they agree, and are able to get the LMIA, then you can get the 50 points.

If you aren't able to get an LMIA, your best shot is to improve your IELTS scores.

thanks . This means if my employer is agree to give me LMIA then i will able to increase my bands and get pr too .
one more question can you just give me a document checklist or the whole criteria to apply for LMIA

Thankew . if i talk about my lawyer he suggest me no to go with LMIA as it needs too many documents and time to get it done .. is that true ?

An LMIA is not easy to get. Your employer has to show why he can't hire a Canadian to do your job. It's not as simple as filling out a form. Your lawyer is correct.

actually where i am working currently is i am the only worker who is without PR and my co worker has PR .. we both are working there .. so i thought of asking to know more about it in regards to get PR by LMIA instead of putting effort in ielts exam again

The link I gave you has more information. It's not easy to get an LMIA.

What kind of work permit do you have right now? PGWP?

YES PGWP .. and it is going to expire on 31 aug 2020

So you have plenty of time. You should spend six months working hard on your English. It's not that difficult to get a good score in the IELTS.

With a CLB 8 or above, CEC, 2 years of experience, you'll have plenty of points. Nothing stopping you from simultaneously trying to get your employer to get an LMIA, but that isn't guaranteed.

Look into taking a class or something for the IELTS.

27 June 2020? That's plenty of time to prepare. There are lots of threads on this forum, you can ask people for help in the IELTS section.
