Issuance of Study Permit for international student at Detroit-Windsor border

I am an international student from India, I plan on landing in US to visit a friend in Detroit and then travel by land to Windsor, will I be issued a study permit at the Detroit-Windsor border?

Maybe clarify whether you have already applied to IRCC for and already been approved for your study permit so you are simply planning to enter/land in Canada through this entry point ?

*I think* i read that international student are not allowed to do this.if they are from a visa required country..they must apply through canada immigration for study permits

Yes only US students can get a study permit at the border.
