I and my family applied for TRV May 17 until now they are still processing our application and we will be contacted as soon as decision is made. Presently my wife gave birth. What do you suggest I do. Please advice.

You would need to get the child a visa. I would wait to see if your family gets approved first. I am guessing you did not mention that your wife was pregnant when you applied for the TRV in the first place.

Thank you for your response. No I did not mention on the TRV application that my wife is pregnant. Do you suggest I should wait for the final decision before I lodge the complaint on the web form about adding another family members a newly born. Please advice. I have a bank statement of 19kCAD when I submitted my application May 17th. Including 2 landed properties a registered company and a car .

Why I didn’t include proof of my wife pregnant on the application was because I could get email on time from several hospitals in Canada. I wrote several hospitals about my wife delivery to reply my mail for estimate for cost of delivery in enabling me add up to my supporting documents but couldn’t get any response until after I submitted the application

Hospitals are possibly not that keen to commit to support a birth for a visitor given payment commitments should there be complications which travel insurance would not cover. Also there are major debates in Canada at this time about birth tourism not that implying was your intention but that may have been assumed if had mentioned any imminent due date in a TRV application.

A birth in Canada could cost 5-8 k for a straight forward delivery or 10k plus for a c section. In last few years there was a case with visitors where there were major complications and the cost exceeded hundreds of thousands of dollars.

I see. In my own case my wife has given birth. Assuming the TRV is approved; my new born will be exempted what am I to do?

You may as well just be honest. You didn't mention the pregnancy because you wanted to come to Canada to have the child and didn't want a refusal. Airlines generally don't allow pregnant women to fly after 36 weeks and she must have already been close to the cut-off when you applied in May. How were you planning to board the plane if you were approved before she gave birth?

As already said above, you will need to submit a separate TRV application for your new born.

You dont need to mention pregnancy in application, did she not do medical? It would be part of that maybe. But there is no separate requirements of mentioning pregnancy.
