i called cic today regarding my file status. According to them i passed criminality and eligibility check. But the officer said security and criminality are both same , only left with background check. Officer didn't disclose about background check . He said it's in processing. Did any one get the same answer from them. Any good news in that message.

Yes, officer gave similar information when I called 3 weeks ago.
Said that my security is done but background still in process. She also mentioned that security is part of background check, which includes other things.

I'm kinda scared after looking at your timeline that they're going to make me wait another year for PPR. Hope that doesn't happen
They r processing mid Aug to end of Aug period aor application... Officer most likely won't tell you the details much.. I guess you are close to your final stage.
Are you inland? If you are, it's taking too long for you indeed... Do you know where is your file? which office?
If you are outland I think you are on track.
