Hi Guys,

I called CIC and was informed by agent that Eligibility & Security are "Under Review". Criminality is "Passed". Visa office : CPC Ottawa
She told everything in application looks fine and are under normal processing times.

1. Is "Under Review" same as "Review Required"?
2. Is this the reason for no updates for quite a long time?
3. How are the reviews for Ottawa office interns of processing times.
Pls. share your thoughts

AOR : March 30
MEP/BIL : May 10 (1st Ghost update)
BIO : May 11 (submitted)
No update since then. My BG reads as "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information"

PS: I have ordered GCMS on June 17.

Same AOR but biometric submitted on 1st June.
Are you FSW-O or Inland?
If o then which nationality?

I don’t think they are the same. “Review required” means something's been flagged for review and “Under review” means in process. Even the email reaffirmed that everything looks fine. I don’t think there’s anything to worry about

I submitted my application with proof of funds documents showing amount in rupees equivalent to cad 19,500. Now exchange rate has increased drastically and the equivalent amount is around 17,800 cad. Should I put in more money and submit pof docs via web form to avoid delays. Thanks

when is the perfect time to call the hangout?

Best time to call when you will have the highest probability of getting connected is on a Friday from 8am (canada time) onwards. Also, be prepared to be on hold for 17-25 mins.

Ottawa has a reputation to process applications faster than other centers.
