Delay in processing from CIC in getting the final decision after submitting the documents

Hi,

I had submitted all my documents after getting an ITA for Oct 2018 draw. the deadline for submission was Dec 28 and I was supposed to know the decision by June 2019. However on the day decision was supposed to be given I got this message

"We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.



Your application is taking us longer than usual to process.

About 20% of our applications are more complex to process. They take us longer due to things like how easily we can verify information, how well and how quickly you answer our requests and whether the application is complete.

If you aren't seeing updates, contact us using this Web form. Make sure you read your messages and take action when we ask you to."

CIC hasnt asked for any additional documents so far, I have passed the medical as well. Is anyone else had similar response? also any suggestions what I can do in this regards?

My AOR is 24 nov 2018 and haven’t got PPR yet. So all u can do is wait. I have also contacted them through webform on 27 may 2019 but still there is no reply from their side. Just be patient and wait for any update from them. You can request

also is this the normal trend now? I have never heard this thing before. Usually people I know have gotten a reply in three- four months max

You can search in the forum for GCMS, they are a way to see your application in CIC system and where the hold is

No, my file was submitted on 23rd november and i got acknowledgement letter on 24th nov . Last update was on 3 jan for medical passed. Since then no update on my profile.

Normally 80% files are completed within 6 months but we come across that unfortunate 20% whose total processing time is never known
