We got our Pre arrival letter today and the status online shows as decision made.
PA: Iran
Application received - October 22, 2019
Acknowledged: Jan 23, 2019
Biometric payment form: February 8, 2019
Medical request: February 13, 2019
Met the requirement for eligibility as a sponsor: February 15, 2019
Biometric request: February 21, 2019
Application Forwarded to Ankara: February 22, 2019
Background check started: February 28, 2019
May 01, 2019 they sent us a correspondence asking for a criminal record check again. We manage to obtain it last week, and as soon we emailed it the second day we got the pre arrival letter (June 27, 2019). Do you guys think it would be a hasty decision to buy the tickets for July 26th? Or should I wait for PPR , before buying any tikets

Congrats. Wait not only for the PPR but for the COPR too... processing and shipping times can vary from days to up to 3 weeks. It's a long weekend in Canada and things usually slow down from July too.

Thank you, got our PPR on Friday June 28, We are so happy. We are sendind her passport to Ankara via a travel agency. It usually takes 3 to 4 days to return it with the visa.

Medical done before file transfer on May 2019

Hello altogether the process is 12 months but each case is very specific, depending what they may request along the way for some people it's much less then a year for others exactly that or more

Yeah this happens quite a lot in terms of interviews usually they are not long at all

My husband got his PR finally after we waited for 12 months exactly. He had to do an interview and all. No biometrics however and no pre arrival letter.
