RCMP requested, but it mentions only my name (Primary Applicant). Do i need to get it for my wife (secondary applicant) as well? or required only for primary applicant?

I suggest you do both for yourself and wife. to avoid any further delays.
You do not necessarily have to do one for your wife. CIC normally does a name and address based search and if it comes out clean then there is no need for RCMP finger print clearance. When a search of your name comes up with someone with a similar name and a criminal record, then there is the need to ensure that you are not the one with the criminal record. If CIC asked for your finger print RCMP criminality check then they want to make sure you have no criminal record.

Thank you :) I visited Toronto commissionaires today they also recommended to get it done for secondary profile. As CIC can ask in future. It costed around 55CAD more but i feel its worth saving 10days and a leave in future :)
