I thought you are original qs was choosing between UK ILR (expected to receive within vs ~1.5-2 years) vs emigrating to Canada timelines/expectations:

LMIA can be tricky at-most but not necessarily not achievable. you can actually google LMIA to see the factual timelines.

You would still have to go through express entry at the end for PR albeit with higher points if going with added LMIA

OR

You would still have to go through express entry at the end for PR albeit with higher points if going with 1 year CA work exp if choose to do it later after working in CA.

Yes, you are right. That very much is the question. However the reason the conversation veered off into LMIA territory and all that, is because it seems to play a very significant role in getting the CRS score beyond the tentative cut offs for PR. So without that if my CRS score is not (or never) going to fetch me a PR ITA, then that would make me decline the job offer as it would be very risky foregoing the chance of ILR here by quitting and leaving the UK and then also having close to 0% chance of a PR in Canada ever.

Canada PR is still risky because it involves IELTS score from both me and my SO. ILR has no such caveats. Once the 5yrs are over, it's kind of a done deal unless you break some law or do something illegal.

Coming back to the topic it's appearing to be safer to just take a pay cut and continue here. At the same time Canada is very attractive a deal as well with lots for the future.

Agreed, you can follow this in parallel and see where it leads while waiting for ILR, no harm in doing that,.
And jump upon favorable time.
