PR card renewed, issued and posted then canceled

We entered Canada whilst out PR was still valid. After we applied for renewal, I remained here and started to work, my husband though is out of Canada.
We didn’t meet the RO on the H&C grounds.
I would have waited patiently for months, if it wasn’t for the card arriving in my mail box and then cancelled.

Is this normal? Has this happens to anyone?

Seems like a clerical error but now that you have lost your H&C case it is time to get a lawyer.

Does this, ordering GCMS impact the case?

No, ordering GCMS notes does not delay the processing of your file in any way. It has no negative impact on your file and an applicant can order as many GCMS notes as he desires. In some cases where there has been no movement on the file a movement was seen after the GCMS notes were request. This is because before the GCMS notes are released an officer has to look into your file even when he was not supposed to. Therefore ordering GCMS notes is safe and sometimes beneficial.

when i ordered mine i must say i did get a medical request 15days after so it might be true but just my experience.

its the best way to know if you need an attorney. if you in Toronto i have only one suggestion

So when you entered were you sent to secondary inspection? Did you explain your H&C at the point of entry? When you applied to renew your PR card, did you include the H&C reasons or did you apply for renewal without H&C grounds?

I did apply including the H&C grounds.

Sorry I interpreted when you said “we don’t meet RO on H&C grounds” as meaning you had been refused. Hard to know whether you will be refused or not. Given that your PR card was sent and then cancelled it isn’t very reassuring.

My status shows as decision made with the info of the card being sent to my address, which was the case right till last week.
I think they have not updated that, yet.
My husband case though, remains as it was since the beginning, we have started processing your case.

Guys
I have a minor update, my encase changed from Decision made ( with mentioning issuing the PR card) back to in process again (issuing PR card part is still there)!
I think it was a clregical error after all.
