Help Needed! Questions on travelling internationally when EE approved

My wife and I applied EE within Canada and the system shows that the decision will be made by September 24th, 2019. Due to personal reasons, we will be travelling internationally(out of Canada) late September to late October(probably 9/20 - 10/27). I'm wondering how long do we have to respond once our application are approved? I've heard that you only have 30 days to send your passport for visa stamp after your EE is approved. Can we take actions after we return back to Canada? I'm on a work visa and my wife is on tourist visa.

If you get an email from them saying that they have approved your PR you can raise a Case Specific Inquiry and tell them. I do not think you will have any problem with this.
