Did you explain in the SOP, as to the reason why you are doing a post degree in environmental studies when you have done a Btech in engineering for your bachelors.

Also, the 1 year that you spent after short-term program without employment could show that you were unable to obtain employment during that period.

Add your mismatching program and your lack of employment which would make the visa officer suspicious of your reason to enter Canada.

This is my observation, but the only way to know for sure is to get a CAIPS notes. It will take 30 days, but it will show you the exact reason.

- you mean they rejected your study permit extension?
- Make sure to get your latest enrollment letter, LOA, transcript. (both front and back pages, because the back has the duration for your program)
- As for funds, get both your and your parents (mum or dad) bank statements for 4 previous months (10k CAD if you live alone), proof of funds (this will show all the money in all of your accounts)
- And make sure in the IMM form, when they ask about "available funds", you must enter exact the amount of money you have and it has to be the same number in your bank statement, or you proof of fund form, which i got mine at CIBC for free.
- Explain why did you change your program, why did you take a gap year and did what, if you were working full time, you'll need to show them that you got certificate from school in order for you to work. If not, it's illegal to work full time during the fall and winter semesters, especially if you're studying part-time.
- Lastly, see if your uni has an International Center, ask them.

Personally, if I was a visa officer, your reasons would not make me grant you a visa.

Just mentioning that you have an interest in something is not enough to convince a visa officer for a career change. Why are you studying it, why you can't study this in your home country? How can this program be used in your home country, what are the employment options once you return to your home country? This is what you should write to convince the visa officer.

Second, you have mentioned directly in the SOP that you are unable to find a job, what is the guarantee that you will return to your home country when you might not get a job. It could show to the visa officer that you might overstay your visa. This is not helped by you choosing a program that is unrelated to your studies. The visa officer could think that you are trying to enter Canada by any means possible.

Finance is not an issue, you have been rejected for purpose of visit. The visa officer does not believe that you are coming to Canada to study.

You need to explain properly why you are doing the program, what is the reason for the change etc. Hopefully luck is on your side and you get the visa, otherwise you will need to rework your SOP.

Not mentioning the reason for travel to Dubai is even worse, you have a 1 year gap from your studies where you were abroad. I honestly don't know what is justification letter of refusal.

I would suggest you wait and see the results of your second application. If it is rejected then I would suggest you get CAIPS notes before making another application.

Bro what else should i show in that case like how to explain the reason for dubai visit?

The rejection reason is this

Thank you for your interest in studying in Canada. After careful review of your study permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee.
Register my application. Create an account to get more details on the status of your application and to receive your mail online. Find out how: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/ link.asp.
When should I contact Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)?
You must notify IRCC of any changes to your application. Examples of changes include
• changes in your personal circumstances, such as the birth or adoption of a child, death of a
family member, a marriage or a divorce;
• changes in contact information, such as email, mailing address or telephone number; • an appointment or change of an immigration representative or designated individual; • the decision to withdraw your application.

My student visa application was rejected on the following grounds:-

1) I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in

subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.

I have done my bachelors in Civil Engineering and following a thorough research for a suitable course for my higher studies I decided to choose Environmental Engineering to specialise and take my career ahead in this domain. I found the course curriculum of this program very encouraging and motivating. As of my profile I have secured a CGPA of 6.38 where I secured good scores in Environmental subjects in my last semesters and also I secureIELTS with overall band 6.5 and no band less than 6 which very well meet my program prerequisite. Following my studies I travelled to Dubai where my sister is settled for finding a job but being a fresher I was not able to find a good job. Therefore I decided to pursue my higher education in Environmental Engineering which could definitely give me a bright future ahead.

I would also like to clarify that my objective of overseas studies is only to gain quality education and for that, Canada is the best destination as they are well known for their quality of education and the worldwide recognition. Also I am from a financially well off family where my father is working as a Sub Inspector of Police earning an yearly income of around 7,76,427 INR and my mother is a government employee earning 4,99,826 INR as yearlyincome. So I have no requirement to work in Canada specially when my country is wide open with challenging opportunities and my family doesn’t have a need for that. Apart from all this my parents are getting older so I have the responsibility to be with them which makes my come back to India unquestionable in all the ways. Therefore I request you to reconsider my application for a study visa.

1) You haven't really explained about how you can use this program to build up on your knowledge with civil engineering. By name alone it sounds like a science program and not an engineering program. Also you have mentioned your program name is Environmental studies but you have mentioned in the letter as environmental engineering.

2) . Again you mention environmental engineering when your program is environmental studies. While it is focused on engineering related to the environment that is not the program name. Fresher is a culturally Indian thing, that is not going to be a reason for not getting a job.

3) You never mentioned why you can't do similar programs in India. What do those Indian universities lack that you get in Canada.

4) Your mentioning of your parents income is a bit off putting. The visa officer could think that you will not take your studies since your parents are relatively well off. Does your program enable you to take chance of those "challenging opportunities back home". Also, being dependant on your parents is seen as a negative in western societies. The visa officer could infer that you are still dependant on your parents for support.

Most of what you have written is very generic and many people have write the same thing. Other then your parents finance which is irrelevant to the matter, there is nothing in this letter about you or your reasons for studying in Canada that the visa officer doesn't already know.

STATEMENT OF EXPLANATION

I, successfully completed Bachelor of Technology specialized in Civil Engineering with good scores from Mahatma Gandhi University. I would like to pursue my higher education for the program Engineering Technology _Environmental Studies at Cape Breton University. I have many subjects related to Environmental during my studies and also I did a project ‘Replacement of fine aggregates using glass powder in cement concrete block’ which actually worked out and using this method many environmental issues faced by unwanted glass materials can be avoided. Likewise I tried many techniques and researched many methods through which the environment can be safe in this ever developing economy. In order to get a specialization in Environmental Engineering I have selected this program for my further studies.

BET Environmental Studies Post Degree program introduces me to the key environmental topics like air quality, water and soil assessments, as well as waste management and sustainable development. Through this program I will be able to prepare, review and update environmental investigation reports, design project that leads to environmental protection, such as water reclamation facilities or air pollution control systems, Provide technical support for environmental remediation projects and for legal action, Analyze scientific data and do quality-control checks and I will be able to advice corporations and government agencies about procedures for cleaning up contaminated sites. Upon completion of the course I will be able to find career in construction industry, research centers, NGOs and various governmental departments working towards green development. After completion of my course I will be coming back to my country as there is a huge requirement of Environmental Engineer to take care of the endless development happening all over the nation India has made a substantial effort in attempting to address environmental challenges. It has enacted stringent environmental legislation and has created institutions to monitor and enforce legislation. The National Environmental Policy (NEP) recognizes the value of harnessing market forces and incentives as part of the regulatory toolkit, and India is one of only three countries worldwide which has established a Green Tribunal to exclusively handle environmental litigation. So there is no doubt that once I am back home I could find endless opportunities in this domain.

Cape Breton University is one of the reputed universities in Canada which provides high quality training, best in class infrastructure and better support to the international students motivated me to select this university for my higher studies. Canada becomes my first choice, as the quality of education offered by the colleges and the degree from the universities is globally accepted.

My final Sop which i reaaplied..Is it ok?

This is OK, but you haven't mentioned why you did not choose a program in India compared to a program in Canada. Apart from some minor grammatical errors this is OK. It would be better to have mentioned particular companies that are looking for people with your qualification but this is OK.
