My profile got updated with eligibility review being started and at the same time I received correspondence letter.
Usually this is the last step before any decision being made regarding your application.
I haven’t received any updates yet.
Well its not like that he got refused last time in 26 days and this time also get the decision with same process time because 28 days for uae is the maximum process time and they could made their decision even sooner.I am Canadian and my husband applied in May to come visit so he can be present for the birth of our son.
In 2017, he applied to assist to my brothers wedding. My father made invitation letter indicating we were engaged. It was refused within 26 days (including giving biometrics) because of purpose of travel (He provided bus ticket to US as he had b1 visa), funds (we didnr have money and he showed only few hundred dollars in account he opened in alb) and I think residency. (There was no status visit or residency in UAE but file was transferred to ircc in AD as he mentioned he will return there.)
Now we are married. We submitted the attested marriage certificate. He is on a visit visa there because job offer is lending as he's waiting to come here and can't confirm starting date. So I have provided bank statement both from uae and Canada(several thousands dollars between both). We have provided plane ticket. Both mom and dad made invitation letter. I will be flying to Dubai with him once passport is ready.
Now I don't understand. Processing times haven't changed much. It's now 28 but it was 27 days when we Applied on May 15. It's now 42 days. I don't understand why it's so long and what do they want. As a Canadian, I'm disappointed by this archaic system. Just want to know has anyone applied from Dubai in May with similar conditions and what was the outcome?
He is albanian and once the baby was born, he submitted the return of birth as the birth will be register only in August so I can't get a birth certificate and consequently passport before that.
Last time the processung time for UAE was 52 days. The biometrics were received 22 days before the answer.Well its not like that he got refused last time in 26 days and this time also get the decision with same process time because 28 days for uae is the maximum process time and they could made their decision even sooner.
I think this is how they gonna work:
After they send you correspondence letter they can make their decision within one hour or 28 days .
Contact them as you have passed the normal processing daysLast time the processung time for UAE was 52 days. The biometrics were received 22 days before the answer.
This time the corresponding letter was received may 15 the same day the application was sent online. Its been 42 days....
Im asking for anyone who has gone through a similar process, similar criteria.
They were contacted (i cannot contact them as I am not the applicant) and they havent replied. When I called immigration, the receptionist just said they dont speak to the public but its a busy season so delays are to be expected. but from what i see above (timelines) most people got it sooner.Contact them as you have passed the normal processing days

Correspondent letter May 15
And since then, still waiting. Thats 43 days without any communication. I am wondering if he should update the birth certificate or no, will it delay the process even further...
