Hi guys,

As promised. I'm back. I just got sms of my CD IELTS result 15mins ago. My result is 9L/9R/8S/6.5W. Should I go for revaluation? I know I don't have enough time to practise for writing but I thought I would get atleast 7.
I heard they do reassessment if there is 2 points difference in any of sections. So they must have already done it.

So finally the D-day has arrived guys with this wicked Wednesday. I hope today there gonna be a draw for sure without any disappointment!! Hence, the countdown begins..

Today's prediction:

462-463 with 3350 ITAs

458-460 with 3900 ITAs

However, I have a hunch that ITAs will only be increased during the second half as we talked about it previously in details. So, by the end of June the trend of issuing 3350 ITAs may also be terminated. Following which an increase in the ITA numbers can be witnessed!! Trying to be positive..

Let's see what today's draw brings for us.. Good luck everyone!

Not a wicked Wednesday, for some it's a lucky wednesday.

Anyway, I don't think that number of ITA's will increase due to backlog IRCC is already facing.

I started the process in December 2018 with applying for ECA for spouse and I. Confidence level was high after simulating with CRS calculator. Then, IELTS result came in good and we were sitting pretty in 458. With that score, it was a no brainer that ITA would come at the first time of asking, right? This was only in February.

Fast forward to June when ECA came in, and 458 won't easily cut it. 460s became hopefuls. 470s became the new normal. 450s? They started scampering and accepting EOIs. 440s and below became only good for PNPs. It was like a drastic change in fortune.

In all of these, one thing I'm sure of is this - if you have the will, there will be a way. Increase score, get PNP, hoping for increased ITAs leading to reduced CRS. Whichever one you choose to do, just keep being positive, we'll all achieve our goal.

Can someone explain what this backlog people are talking about? Are these the rejected ITAs?
A file that was supposed to be cleared in 4 months, gets cleared in 6 months, is what creates a back-log. Kind of not submitting homework/assignments you got from school, all of it piles up and suddenly you need to submit all of it by end of year to get a passing mark of a good grade.

458 will cut it soon, in a two or three draws.

No, just the number of files in front of them to process, either accept or reject, very few people are handling too many files to process for immigration of all sorts.
But they are still selecting 3350 applicants right? So how does that backlog affect the CRS cut off?
