International Driver's License in Ontario

Hi everyone,

Do I need to go with the entire procedure to get a driver's license in Ontario if I have an International Driver's License? Or can I just go, pay and get a full G here?
I couldn't find any other information than that if I want to drive in Ontario longer than 3 months, I need the International Driver's License.
Any replies would be highly appreciated. Thanks

Whether you can get a full license depends on if Ontario has a reciprocal agreement with your country and how long you've had your license.

You need to get your original driving licence from India and experience letter.

If you only bring your original driving license, then you will need to appear for G1 knowledge exam and then you can appear for G2 road exam without waiting for 12 months.

If you bring both your license and experience letter, then after giving G1 knowledge test you can directly appear for the Full G road test.
