Hi everyone,

I will be gaining one year of work experience in Canada five days before my IEC work permit expires, in January.

I am applying for permanent residency through FSW so am *hoping* that is doesn't come to me having to apply through CEC. I would like to understand my options though.

I was given advice by an immigration lawyer that I could submit my application on the day I reach the year point and apply for a BOWP immediately but know I wouldn't have received my RoA by then, so couldn't.

Any advice or pointers on this hugely appreciated.

How many points will you have under Express Entry once you have the 1 year of work experience in Canada?

Well, it´s hard to comment without knowing why you think you need CEC as a backup for FSW. Do you qualify under FSW? What is your current CRS without the Canadian experience? What is your concern abt the FSW application?
