Hello everybody.

I have two related questions. Hopefully somebody can guide me.

1.- Is it possible to work under Contracts when I currently have an Open Work Permit?

2.- Does the time of the contract count to apply for PR? e.g. if is a full time job contract for 3 months

Really appreciate the time and help or guidance.

My best regards.

1. Yes you can work a contract job.

2. A 3 month work contract is not long enough to help you with PR. If in Ontario you wouldn’t qualify for OHIP with a 3 month contract.

Thanks, I'll try to give more details.

1.- In some contracts I need to be incorporated or as Sole Proprietorship, so I don't know if I'm allowed to do this when I'm under an open work permit .

2.- I know I need 12 months but my question is if for example I have 4 contracts of 3 months each, working 37 hrs a week (one after each other) does this time count to apply for PR? Or it has to be a permanent job in full time basis?

Thanks in advance
