It’s Approved In Principle (AIP), you will receive the final decision usually in few days I would say 2-3 business days, after that you will receive the landing letter for the interview. CongratsHey all,
I am having trouble understanding some of the acronyms in this chat. We applied inland in January 2019. We completed the medical exams in May and today we received a letter saying that we meet the eligibility requirements. What does this mean exactly ? What are the next steps and timing of those steps ?
Apologies - I think I misunderstand it says “It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met”It’s Approved In Principle (AIP), you will receive the final decision usually in few days I would say 2-3 business days, after that you will receive the landing letter for the interview. Share your timeline for others. Thanks
It’s AIP as I said, if they asked for additional documents it means you will have to wait till they verify all the documents then after you can get the final decision. But if they did not ask for any additional documents they I believe you will get your final decision soon as I said. Congrats on the AIP anywayApologies - I think I misunderstand it says “It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Hey Ivylebrun,I have just checked ECAS and it says Decision Made .
How long does it take till I get my PR card ?
App Received: Jan 19,2019
PR AOR & Linked: March 8,2019
OWP : Received on March 19 but I didn’t get any answer yet .
AIP: June 19,2019
Decision made : June 20, 2019
Kylger do you think we'll be successful to get our OWP approved within this month? I keep on checking the website's processing time for mail applicants and yesterday it was still on Feb 13? Hope we do get it this month, really.Hey Ivylebrun,
Typically January applicants have been receiving their landing interview invitation 3-4 days after Decision Made with interviews scheduled typically 2 weeks later (depending on location). At the interview they will give you a temporary PR letter and your card will come in the mail within 3-6 weeks.
