Today I got some very good information speaking to a CIC agent regarding my wife's application. She is principle October 1/2018 applicant. Medical passed Jan 21. Her BGC was completed and passed end of Jan. She met eligibility mid March. The agent said that is all the information available at her end and now the sending of the PPR email is in the hands of the MVO. Why no PPR yet? Is MVO slow?

My husband got his medical done May 2nd and it was approved and updated on May 8th. Now we are waiting for further steps. (account says they are ding background check) I have couple of question.
What pre-arrival email/mail? Does it come through physical mail or electronic?
Does the passport request come in mail or email?

Last year around this same time my friend who applied though MVO had the same concerns.
It seemed to take ' forever ' due to the high volume of applicants being processed over the summer.
Everything was accepted and they just had to wait for the passport.

Linked the paper application to online account: 7th May 2019 (All details matched)

I do not know why background check is not started yet or file not transferred to any visa office in India.

Hey our Canada immigration is supposed to be ready on October 2019 it says, but my wife's passport expires in January 2020. Should we renew it? What do we need to do in order to notify IRCC. Thanks
yes better renew it, as IRCC need at 6 months of the passport to be active when issuing COPR

Yup, please renew to avoid delays when you get the passport request email. It’s better to anticipate as early as now and let IRCC know about the update.

Pre arrival provides free services (ie. online seminar) that could help prior to migrating to canada. You’ll be notified via mail.
Similarly, passport request is being sent via email. Should be coming from the visa office (either sydney/cpcm/local vo)
Yes it is very frustrating not knowing when that email will come as we are still within the 12 month time frame.

I have the same situation I didn’t receive any email from embassy for next step
