Confused about work experience validity

Hi everyone,
I hope I get an answer to this here, because it has been one of the only things that's stopping me from applying to the EE program.

Background:
I am an Indian citizen and have been studying in the US for the past 6 years. First 4, I did my Bachelors in Business Admin: Finance and then I went on to pursue and complete my MBA in Financial Management. I have 1.5 years of work experience as a Residence Hall Director (I managed an entire residence hall on-campus for the university where I was completing my MBA) according to NOC, it is 0632 - Student Residence Manager (skill level 0). It was a Graduate Assistantship, so part time but I worked equivalent to full time (35-40 hrs a week)

The caveat is that I was working in this position whilst I was completing my MBA (because it was a Graduate Assistantship position). Can I use this as work experience? Has anyone faced any similar situation?

Any help will be very much appreciated.

If you were getting salary, if your employer will provide reference letter mentioning full time job, then yes, you can use this experience.

I was getting a bi-weekly stipend + tuition assistance + and an apartment. I also did taxes for this position. Should I go ahead and count it as experience?

If they are ready to write full time in reference letter, then you can use that. What was your status in that country? were you allowed to work those number of hours?

I was on F1 visa (student) and I think they can write that I worked 35-40hours.

I’m allowed to work part-time over the school year and full time over the summer. However, I worked equivalent to 35-40 hrs during the school year (because the job was like a 24 hr live in position, so I would average 35hrs a week) and I worked in the same position full time over the summer (May, June, July)

So part time on F1 Study permit is 20 hours per week? isn't?

If yes, you will have to count experience like that.

You can not accommodate summer hours here and there.

Yes part time is 20 hrs. I worked there for two years, so would I be eligible for EE, if I did part time for 2 years? Also, it was not related to my degree at all, I don’t know if that matters.

that does not matter if it relates to degree or not, but if you have 1 year full time or 2 years part time, you are eligible. Good luck.
