Hi Guru, I have the same question. I just called cic today, they said medical extension is the last step for the process, and they sent out the request.
My medical expired on June 12, 2019. I got a Ghost update on June 14, and now just waiting for the medical extension to be approved. Do you know how long does it take for the medical extension? Thanks!

It totally depends on the office, expect it in 1-4 weeks time.

I do have spouse as dependent and he’s back home.

thanks for respond Guru. So does it seem to you that I'm stuck in security? because based on what they told me I passed medical and background check. Should I request CBSA/CSIS or GCMS? or maybe both?
I just checked it is going to take 45 days to get CBSA notes, seems like if I request it, I'm not going to get PR in next 45 days haha. Is that true or it does not affect the processing time ?

I was calling them every month from Jan to Apr and found it really useless, they were telling me the same thing that everything is ok, just wait for security check and that there is nothing that can be done.
What was your experience? did they tell you anything valuable?

Yea did call them 2 times last week everything is passed. Jus the medical is expired now and they have sent ot for extension. Either an extension or a remed. Just waiting on that now
