Hi All.

My application submitted at the end of May has just been just returned becuase I forgot attaching police certificate in the application package. Well, i would say it is great becuae I was worried if CIC returns my application two month from the submission by when many of my supporting docs would be expired and I may have to go back to my contry to prepare the docs again. I think i can avoid the worst situation now...
Anyway, I have a qeustion in regards to preparing resubmission.

1.Can i use old application package again and include the police certifcate only?
or Do i have to reprint applications with new validate barcode?
all the date signed on the applications is May 31st when I submitted the old application.
I am wondering if i have to print new application with new barcode as it is June now.

2. shoud I attach explanatio letter stating my application was returned becuase of the reason and I resubmit the docs?

Could you share your experience in dealing with this situation please?
Thank you so much for your help in advance.

there has been updates to almost all the forms as of June 1. you need to send the updated forms

That's worrisome for me. I have submitted my App last week. I attached small note at the button with other explanation that I couldn't get PCC from country of residence. I hope cic doesn't return my app.

Did you attach proof that you tried to get the PCC? You will have to get the PCC unless it's absolutely impossible - which country is this?

I didn't have any proof to attach. I went myself in Police Station they told me they don't issue PCC with Somalia Passport. It's Kenya

Should I be worried that my App will be returned?

Yes, they will reject your application if you don't have the PCC. You have to get it, or you have to prove that it was impossible to get.

No, you're following instructions. You'll be fine.

thank you so much! do you think i should have said that though? i just figured that would know because my husband is mexican, i didn’t include any proof from the CIC website because i didn’t want to look like i thought they were stupid for not knowing info from their own cite

No need to worry about it. They have explicitly called out a special procedure for Mexican nationals, you don't have to remind them of it.
