If your documents have been accepted by WES, they must have issued a due date for the completion of evaluation.
What does the status in your account says?
Your institution most probably would have sent the verification request via normal post. It would take another 20 days before the status is updated.
If the request was emailed, expect a status update in 3 4 days
No it definitely isn't. The timer of 35 days only starts when your documents are reviewed, verified and accepted. Once you receive an email that your docs have been accepted, start counting approx 20 25 days.
Ok, so i emailed them this morning, and all of sudden, they updated the status on my account.
But they rejected my transcript because “there were no conferral date on your transcript. Please contact your institution to update conferral date on official transcript.”
And they put my status back to On Holds, we are waiting for your documents.
So if the school sends the new transcript, is it gonna take another month for WES to review my docs again????
Not to mention it will take like 7-10days to mail, and WES never update right away, they take like another week to update to “we received your docs..”

WES really pissed me off. They wasted 3 weeks to update this. And if i didn’t email them, they prob would waste even more time!!!
Also if they wanna confirm if i was awarded the degree or not, they could have contacted the school, or requested me to send a photocopy of my degree. Or at least put the details of what they want to have on the transcript on the web so we can ask the school to provide in advance. Not like wasted almost 1 month for me for nothing?!? So unprofessional service. And it’s not like they are doing me a favor for free. They got paid to provide service..
Not necessary that they may take around a month to accept the new documents that you send, they can take a few days to a month or so, depends on how fast your university takes time and method to reply to their verification request.
It's your universities fault that they did not follow a recognised international standard to issue your transcript, not WES's, WES is merely doing its job. Thousands get their successful and completed evaluations every day because they followed what WES asked them to do so and their University followed international standards. My university showed me my entire transcript, in its original form, so that I could make sure that everything I needed was in there, once I confirmed it was okay, they stamped and sealed it.
What were your document requirements? I was asked to send a cleared coloured copy of my degree copy along with my transcripts.
WES only required me to send official transcript with all the grades of each year, in sealed envelope. My school did the exact thing they asked for. And I can’t check before they mailed because the school is in the US, i live in Canada now..
WES didnt even send any verification request to my school. They just rejected the transcript and ask me to contact the school to mail a new transcript.
They didn’t ask me to mail a copy of my degree either. Only official transcript. And i dont know about the international standards. But for sure my school transcript followed US standards.
And honestly, if WES want certain standards or requirements, they should have it on their website. I just checked again, yes, they only listed “include all grades of each year, and in sealed envelope..”
again, i was mad because they wasted over 3 weeks not updating anything. Otherwise i could have asked the school to resend a new transcript. And it’s also difficult for me to contact the school because of different time zones, and its summer time, so the school office always closes early, and i also have to work during business hours on weekdays, which is very hard to make time to call the school.
That's very unfortunate and frustrating. I can understand.
However, you are not left with much options, you need to get in touch with your university and tell them about it and ask them to send again with a conferral date.
