Hello All, just wanted to share my experience with WES, perhaps it can be of some help.
Created the account and made payment on 02-Apr.
I needed to obtain transcripts for B.E (Pune University) but from Autonomous college, and Masters degree from UOWD, Dubai.
For the B.E documents, my college became autonomous during my time of study, so first year transcripts were from Pune University and remaining 3 years from the college. Per advise of college, I applied for first year transcripts from Pune university and then transcripts for all years from the college. The process for college was online and I was impressed by how simple it was to obtain the transcripts. They were mailed to WES within two weeks directly by the college. For Pune university, I used mailtranscripts.com and they were mailed directly to WES by 4-May (i.e. took one month). I also mailed to WES a clear color copy of my degree (just one page in an envelope) and mailed by me.
For the Master degree, the process was also through emails. I needed to send only three emails to the university registrar and they mailed the transcripts in a week. The process was pain-free. For some reason, WES did not ask for copy of degree, just the transcripts.
In the meanwhile, the status on WES was updated 4 times..."in Progress - We received your documents and are reviewing" The last document had reached them by mid-May (about 14th May). On 26th May the status changed to documents are accepted and received completion date of 14th June. On 16th June the status signed that report is under final review and on 17th June, I received the report - so close to 2.5 months for the entire process.
The whole process was done without having to visit anywhere or even make a single call. I did not even contact WES when the completion date passed. Off course I was anxious, but patience is the key. I do not think I could have made the process any faster by following up more with the college or WES. I would just advise that you follow the instructions very diligently when sending transcripts.
Hope this helps, good luck with your application.
