Invitation letter for parents from an international student

I'm an international student in Canada. I came to Canada about seven months ago. I want to apply for a visitor visa for my parents. I need a sample for an invitation letter. I have no idea what should I say in the letter.

You're writing the invitation letter addressed to the visa officer, so you have to explain to the visa officer:

Why do your parents want to come to Canada? Why are you in Canada/what is your status in Canada, and why are you inviting them?
What will they do in Canada? Where will they go?
Where will they stay?
How long will they stay in Canada?
Etc. etc.

My host parents wrote a letter inviting my parents to Canada and their Visa was approved for 10 years. If you live with a host family I advise them to write this letter.
